Ben Here!! Why the name Sancho? It comes from the Don Quixote class I took in college. It was some sort of 5000-level class for Spanish majors, and I asked la profesora if I could jump in as a comms major. Why? I don't know. Improve my Spanish? Fill in my schedule? Do something hard? I still don't know what possessed me to sign up for such a rugged challenge, but I read Don Quixote in olde Spanish. If you're unfamiliar, the book is one of the most popular of all time. 1,000 pages. Published in the 1600s. The Spanish Shakespeare. And I read it. A Quixotic quest indeed! Plus, I really enjoyed it.

The futility and absurdity of the story spoke to me, and the class was interesting. So, when I started thinking about names for a pen, "Sancho" seemed appropriate. You see, Sancho Panza was Don Quixote's squire and sidekick as the crazy knight headed off to seek chivalry and adventure. Turns out, Quixote was a little off his rocker. Imaginary giants were windmills. Perceived castles were inns. And portly Sancho Panza goes along for all of it. Just like the Sancho pen-- it's there for the adventure of life, even if your plans take you through the windmills.

Just got my black titanium lil sancho! I love it! My only other Big Idea products are the Baseline Bolt action and Baseline Capped pen. I love those too but this one is another level. Love the included Damascus bolt and it’s so clever fitting thr tweezers and tooth pick inside. I didn’t back the regular sancho but I think this makes up for it and will immediately enter my edc lineup.

Perfect Companion for Alpaka Zip Pouch Pro

I’ve been waiting for this release since seeing it at Blade Show Atlanta! I love this pen. Perfect size for my Alpaka wallet. Sits in the back pen slot very securely. I’ve been using an O-Pen and never really liked it. So happy I got this to replace it. I like it so much, I just ordered another in black to use at work where I don’t carry my wallet.
